DU Demonstrator

Together with Bastiaan van Hout I designed and created a physical prototype of an IoT sandbox that was utilized to introduce and explain the theme of rich interaction in a growing systems context. The demonstrator features a 1:20 scale, modern home with integrated mock-up smart home technology. A controller on the outside of the house allows users to interface with the smart technology in the model of the house. Through combining components of the modular control interface users get a feel of what rich interaction in a growing systems context means for future smart home concepts. The demonstrator was prepared for- and exhibited at the Dutch Design Week 2016.
